What kind of wax and wicks are used in Coal Coast Candles Candles?
CCC uses 100% Natural ply woodwicks and non-toxic, food grade Soy wax. Our wax is very safe to burn – even in the presence of babies and individuals with allergies.
Are refills available for the candle container?
Not at present, but keep in mind your candle jar can be washed and used for other things like plants and storage, or recycled.
My candle is not burning properly. What should i do?
Always make sure that the wick or both wicks are lit when using you candle. If you are still having problems such as one wick will not stay lit, look to see if the wick has been trimmed too short (less than ½ cm). If so, keep lighting the wick that is too short or perhaps remove some of the liquid wax . If that does not work or your candle is burning straight down the middle and leaving more than 10mm of wax on the sides of the jar, contact us so we can help.
How long will Coal Coast Candles products last?
Whenever possible, keep CCC products stored in a cool, dark place as light and heat destroy fragrance and discolour the product. If stored correctly, Candles will last about two years.
What types of oils are used to add the fragrance?
We use Natural fragrance oils.
Are Coal Coast Candles Fragrances products “vegan friendly”?
Our products are not tested on animals, are free from Parabens, PEGS and contain no animal by-products and can be considered as “vegan friendly”.
How do I remove the left over wax from my jar so i can reuse it?
When you are finished with your candle simply remove as much of the wax as you can with a butter knife, soften remaining wax with a hair dryer and wipe clean with a paper towel. Clean any remaining wax residue with soap and water.
Who makes the candles and what are the quality standards?
All of the candles are hand poured in small batches in our home studio in Thirroul NSW. We only use the highest quality waxes, wicks and fragrance oils resulting in one of the best candles on the market.
